Summary:The On-Call Collections Assistant is a part time position that primarily supports work in Collections related to class visits and curricular engagement of the collection. This position is responsible for locating and handling artworks in storage, moving and staging or installing artwork, and managing set ups and break downs. This position supports management of collections as related to class use, including inventory management, preventative collections care, rehousing and relocating objects, cataloging, collecting and editing reference images, taking measurements, and recording object information. In addition, this position may also be responsible for assisting in general collections management, in support of the Collections Registrar, as needed.
